Wake Robin Inn owes its success to the Northwestern Connecticut and tri-state community in which we do business, including local staff. Their commitment to, and enthusiasm for, Wake Robin is as great as that of the owners; who are unique in the area also 24/7 onsite managers. We prize guest-focused entrepreneurial qualities in our staff and in our core leadership team:

Michael Loftus, Innkeeper/Proprietor. Overseeing daily operations of the Inn, including staffing and Michael Bryan's Irish pub, Michael brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience with hotels and restaurants. The Inn's Wake Robin's Irish-themed hospitality focus is driven in large part by his heritage and commitment to creating a memorably comfortable destination for our patrons.

Shaffin Shariff, Innkeeper/Proprietor, is responsible for culinary, marketing and large corporate sales. He is also responsible for Wake Robin Inn's alliance-driven partnership approach, which embraces business relationships to create and sustain the Inn's continued growth. He brings more than 15 years of marketing and communications experience, including seven years as a senior public relations leadership at Chicago-based Harris Bank and parent company, Bank of Montreal.

Kevin Vetter, Chef, is a Culinary Institute of American (CIA) graduate who overseas all aspects of food preparation and service at Wake Robin Inn.

Cherie Kennedy, Banquet Captain, overseas all aspects of weddings and parties service at Wake Robin Inn.

Linda Lloyd, Front Desk, is Wake Robin Inn’s Schools Coordinator and parent liaison, booking all lodging requests related to the area’s many private schools.

Lynn Martorell, Front Desk, is Wake Robin Inn’s evening guest liaison, overseeing guest satisfaction for overnight guests.
